How will AI shape the future of catastrophe modelling?
Just last Wednesday, the Singapore Reinsurers’ Association concluded the final instalment of its Catastrophe Modelling Series: Beyond the Model: AI and the Future of Catastrophe Modelling – Part III.
Hosted by the SRA Technical Sub-Committee at Lloyd’s Asia, the session brought together over 50 industry professionals to discuss the evolving role of AI in risk analytics.
Speakers Amanda Cheong and Muhammad Rahiz from Aon, alongside Meenakshi Jain, Director at Moody’s, shared insights on:
• AI and machine learning in model development
• Opportunities and risks of emerging technologies
• Practical applications across data preparation, workflow optimisation and exposure analytics
The session also featured a panel discussion with Prakash Agarwal (Verisk Analytics) and Tian Yu Oh (Swiss Re), who shared perspectives on balancing innovation with growing risk complexity.
Thank you to all speakers and participants for contributing to a meaningful close to the series.
