In collaboration with DBS, the Singapore Reinsurers' Association (SRA) hosted an exclusive breakfast forum for reinsurance leaders examining the impact of current events on the future of reinsurance and reinsurers.
The session was a few hours after Trump announced the reciprocal tariff and presented us the opportunity to hear from Mr. Taimur Baig, Chief Economist at DBS, on his analysis of the context, reasons, and effects of the trade policy shifts on various markets. We also had the opportunity to listen to and discuss the impact of the evolving economic landscape, the importance of long-term strategic planning, and approaches to managing the challenges presented by these trade developments from our panel of seasoned leaders.
The event concluded with a networking session that fostered meaningful connections among participants.
